Calling what the Philadelphia Eagles did to the Washington Redskins on Monday night an ass whipping is putting it mildly! It was a very hard game to watch for me because I'm a lifelong Redskins fan and you never want to see your team embarrassed like that. They beat us up and pushed us around in every faze of the game from the start to the finish. The Eagles had 592 total yards and it would have been over 600 if they really wanted to get those extra few yards at the end of the game. We were never in this football game and trailed 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter which is the first time in NFL history a road team has had a lead that big. I have not seen an offense play a quarter of football like that since we scored 35 points in the 2nd quarter of Super Bowl 22 against the Denver Broncos and that was over 23 years ago. It felt like every hole on the Redskins roster was exposed tonight as both the offense and defense struggled with even the most elementary basics of the game. We were 0-10 on 3rd downs for the night and struggled with pass protection and drops, and the defense did NOTHING right as they allowed the Eagles to start the game with 5 straight TD's on their first 5 possessions, talk about worthless! Did someone forget to tell these guys the bye week is over and it's time to play football? Eagles QB Michael Vick had a Hall Of Fame night by passing for 333 yards and 4 TD's and rush for 80 yards and 2TD's, a great game! I don't want to hear anyone mention the words playoffs and Redskins in the same sentence because that pipe dream ended on the first play of the game!
