Roy Halladay without a doubt deserved to win the N.L. Cy Young Award yesterday. He was such a dominant force for the Philadelphia Phillies this past season. He was 21-10 with a 2.44 ERA, 9 complete games and 4 shutouts while logging over 250 innings pitched. He also pitched the 20th perfect game in MLB history and opened the N.L. Playoffs by throwing a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds. He becomes the 5th pitcher to win a Cy Young in both leagues, he won the award back in 2003 for the Toronto Blue Jays. It was a forgone conclusion that he was going to win and the voters confirmed that by awarding all 32 first place votes!
