The great run the New York Jets were having in the AFC Playoffs ended in Pittsburgh last night. The Pittsburgh Steelers dominated the Jets in the first half of yesterdays AFC Championship Game and led 24-0 at one point and it appeared the rout was on. The halftime score was 24-3 and the Jets looked nothing like the team that beat Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in the past few weeks.

I give head coach Rex Ryan big credit for getting his guys ready for the second half when they appeared almost lifeless. The Jets came back and outscored the Steelers 16-0 in the second half and lost 24-19. They played like a different team, but the whole they dug for themselves was to much to overcome. It's hard to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh when you don't make any mistakes and going down 24-0 is suicide.

I loved the calls at the end of the game when Roethlisberger completed a couple passes that allowed them to run the clock out. There are not many coaches who would have the nerve to put the ball in the air in that situation.
