The Washington Wizards are 2-0 after the trades of Caron Butler, Brendon Haywood and Antawn Jamison in the past week. Beating Minnesota the other night was a win against another NBA Lottery bound team like the Wizards themselves. The win tonight against the #2 seed in the Western Conference was impressive for a variety of reasons. I don't want to hear anybody mention the Nuggets coming off an emotional win over the Cavaliers the night before. They have no excuse losing to this Wizards team that has cleaned house this week. Denver even led by 13 points at one time in the game and looked to be in position to turn the game into a laugher. I liked the fight that the Wizards showed and the unselfish play I watched! Andray Blatche had another double-double with 18 and 11 and looked great in the first half. The new guys Josh Howard with 20 points and Al Thornton with 21 and a game high 4 blocks played well and mixed in nicely with their new teammates. I know the Wizards are still a mess and heading toward the Lottery, but for one night it was good to see them play team basketball the right way!
